Belynda Petrie is an internationally recognised expert in climate change, energy and water. She has over 20 years of experience in development cooperation, with strong expertise in sustainable development, climate change, sustainable energy, water governance, climate change, and green finance.
She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Cape Town and holds two post graduate degrees, in Law and Psychology.
Belynda has extensive experience in policy and strategy development, project design and formulation, capacity assessment, development and training, monitoring and evaluation, leadership and management, and knowledge management and communications.
Ms Petrie has a strong track record of disseminating research to a broad audience using several mediums and media channels. She is the author of numerous research papers, policy briefs, reports, strategies, books, and peer-reviewed articles in the fields of water, energy, and climate change/finance.
Dr. Masuma Farooki is an experienced sustainability researcher, with over 15 years in research and advisory services for public and private sector actors, addressing sustainability policy.
She has a PhD in Development Policy from the Open University, an MPhil in Development Studies from the Institute of Development Studies in Sussex and an MPhil in Economics from the GC University Lahore.
Her research covers Europe, Africa and China, with a focus on social impacts and corporate governance. Masuma focuses on developing strategies to support social and governance responsibilities, processes and impacts of companies and governments, within the larger sustainability framework.
She has extensive research and content writing experience for public and private actors. She is proficient in using established datasets to provide insights and converting qualitative data into measurable and benchmarkable data indicators.
Sven Kreher is a financial expert with a key interest in the interface between sustainable development, the environment and conservation of natural resources.
He has deep experience in project finance, corporate risk assessment, financial restructuring, environmental management and planning, renewable energy finance, and the development of sustainability strategies, due diligence assessments, and feasibility studies.
Sven brings expertise in financial analysis and project finance, as well as global experience within the field of wildlife conservation and experience working with international funders and development finance institutions.
Prof. Mike Morris is an international expert on global and regional value chain dynamics, economic and social upgrading, firm-level cluster development in Africa, and industrial policy development.
He has extensive experience in studying the dynamics of buyer-led value chains, both globally and in Sub Saharan Africa, and making policy recommendations to the public and private sectors.
His work has involved extensive engagement with small and large firms, to understand their strength and challenges and opportunities, as well as skills and capabilities requirements to become more competitive.
